Teachers Remembered

DANBURY, Conn. — A 15-year-old Connecticut high school student who fell asleep in class says he suffered substantial hearing loss when his math teacher smacked her palm down on his desk to wake him up while she was teaching. By Catherine Donaldson-Evans - Fox News
This story brings back alot of memories of teachers who employed various means of discipline on their students. In high school it was Mr. Sciero who would hit the desk with a yard stick. I'm sure after reading this story he is preparing himself for my pending lawsuit. Yep, I'm pretty sure I can recall serious injuries from awakening to that slap of the yard stick. If I remember correctly it was stenson who would shoot you with a water gun if you fell asleep, and then there were the many others who I simply feared too much to attempt sleeping in their class.
Actually I think this is a great idea. File suit against the teacher and the school for their lack of discression in this matter. While were at it we should also file against the trains often blew their horns for extended periods of time while crossing intersections. I mean sure if they didn't a small child would be struck on occassion, but what is that worth when compared to my loss of hearing over the years. Little by little those train whistles are causing me to go deaf. At this rate due solely to trains alone I'll be deaf by the time I'm 125. That simply cannot be tolerated. Trains must be stopped.
If I had to make a guess this kid wet his pants when the palm hit and well, it's easier to be mad than embarrassed.
The only question left is what these parents were thinking when they decided that filing suit was a good idea. Has this kid never been to a concert? Does he listen to his music at the decible level recommended by surgeon general not to cause hearing loss. Which ever tort attorney agreed to take this suit should be hung by his toes and recieve 10 lashes.

Mr Sorenson was the one who got to me and "convinced" me I wasn't to be sleeping in class...on DAY 1!!!
AS for the lawsuit, obviously a family of sheisters just looking to make some fast money. Maybe they'd like us to give the kid his diploma right away too, so he can start making some more moeny for them. And they wonder why healthcare and business costs are constantly rising at 300-400% of inflation...
