This morning as I awoke I was shocked to see the amount of snow on the ground as we are not even to the half way point in October. I love snow in the trees. There is something honest and pure in the virgin snow, before it is molested by the throng of kids eager to play in the snow are loosed by their parents.
The snow has yet to stop. I may take a few more when the flakes cease to fall. Have a great Sunday afternoon. Mine will entail sipping hot chocolate, watching football, and turning a few pages in my current read, John Adams.

It was nice being snowed in with you.
I was born in Vermont, and so I have seen snow in October. It's been so long since I have lived so far north, that it's almost inconceivable.
Well, I should say by teh first comment that I know who "anonymous" is!! Why didn't you tell me Mr. Rogers faked his death and holed up in your neighborhood? LOL
FYI- You can keep the snow out that way...bad enough we're going to have highs in the 50s tomorrow and rain!
Very pretty......however I think I am truly a So. Cal girl here in San Diego where we might see it reach 75 or so today! And where December is one of our finest months. Take care.
I can't say that I miss the snow hitting early! I have lived both in WA and WI - I have paid my dues!
I'm jealous. I never get my fill of snow!
