Democrat? Part 2

Some of you have read the previous post entitled Democrat? If you haven’t read that one yet take just a moment before you continue here as it is important to this story. As I sat talking to this woman she continued to list off the litany of problems plaguing this country as she sees it as a prominent older woman. Some of those problems included the war in Iraq, our economy, welfare, poverty, housing market... etc.

I have told you already that this woman is a democrat. But I didn't tell you her other solution to all these problems. Put women in charge. That is why she is voting for Hillary. Not any woman will do though. It must be a woman over the age of 50, through menopause, and not taking ANY hormone pills. Her reasoning, they are all *mean. (*her wording was far more crude)

Aside from her reasoning being absurd is she on to something. What kind of world would we live in if women ran the country? Can a woman run the free world? I think so. Are there inherent differences between men and women? I think so. Would those differences have an impact on the ability of a president to function? Maybe. Should a woman be elected solely due to her gender?

One where we thought longer before going to war.

Can a woman run the free world?

Absolutely.

Are there inherent differences between men and women?

Duh.

Would those differences have an impact on the ability of a president to function?

No. Women are responsible adults, can meet deadlines, and function during crisis situations. So can men.

Should a woman be elected solely due to her gender?

Yes.

so, what you're saying is, no matter the woman, her gender alone is enough to vote for her?

no.

You said-
Should a woman be elected solely due to her gender?

Yes.

-So could I get a clarification on this one?

MIke, No. A woman shouldn't be elected solely due to gender unless two candidates are equal on all issues other than that. If so, the woman should win to even out the statistics. LOL

I am lost. So, all things equal, we should vote for the women because she is a women?

I will vote for the best candidate – man or women. The odds of having two “equal” candidates? One Zillion to One.

When was the last time you voted for someone you really wanted versus really didn’t want the other person?

Hi theslowbleed.com, Of course you're lost. Are you even a person or just a dot com?

Let's start out simple. There are two sexes: male and female. Otherwise known as men and women.

If I'm moving too fast, just say the word.

Now, in a hypothetical situation, (as opposed to the real world), two candidates are running, and one is a man and the other a woman. And you like the positions of both the same.

Still with me?

Vote for the woman. No women have been elected president yet. And 51% of the population is female. Somehow that doesn't seem right.

Maybe that ain't blood that's slowly leaking. Are you found yet?

And in real life, I always vote for the candidate I Like. As in, every time I vote.

Sorry Deadmule, perhaps I should have slowed it down a bit further for you. As you wrote (I quote)

"Should a woman be elected solely due to her gender?

Yes."

You later post said

"I always vote for the candidate I Like."

So, you vote for the most qualified (unless of course the person running is a women...then the 51% rule goes in effect).

Got it...

Lastly, yes, I am a dot com as much as you are actually a deadmule (thankfully scratch and sniff blogging is not available). Welcome to the world of OpenID posting.
